So we left the beach house and got to LAX 2.5hrs early. We landed in SLC, picked up the blazer and started back to rexburg. As it turns out the idiots that replaced my ball valves last week did such a bang up job that one of the two bolts holding the brake caliper on was loose and flew off. This caused the caliper to begin carving a two nice rings into the rim. As the car was shaking, lurching and grinding on the freeway, we thought that something might be wrong. So here we are in Tremonton with no movie theater having spent last night in a motel that advertises its color TVs. What an adventure!

You probably don't remember me at all (I think I visited you guys in about 1996), but I'm Gary Mumford's daughter, Stephanie (now Whitted). Your sister got in touch recently while trying to set up a reunion in Utah, so I've been checking out your family's blogs. Where did you live in California? I met my hubby in San Diego--loved it there. Now you're going to Rexburg? Big change. Hope you brought your parka. We live in Boise. If you ever come out our way, please look us up. I've always been in awe of your beautiful mom, and by the pictures I see that she's still as beautiful as ever. And that all you girls take after her! Here's to hoping you love Rexburg, and that the winter is better this year!
